Keeping Up With Cass – March 2023

I knew the beginning of this year would just fly on by …

Update:

I was a total homebody this month but it’s all with good reason obviously.
I spent a bunch of time working on my school course to prep for my exams, they come available in a few days & I really need to get them out of the way quickly. It’s been a whole lot of work these past few months, so I’m just happy that the exams are around the corner & I can have one less thing to worry about. Keep your fingers crossed I do well on them!!
Aside from exams being around the corner, I feel really good about these two courses & I definitely feel good about the choice I made in changing careers. I can’t wait to get going on the rest of the courses & put what I’ve been learning to use.
Our bathroom renovation got completed, it took a little longer than we would have liked, but overall we are in absolute love with how it turned out. Obviously once that got done, I spent a lot of time just deep cleaning the house & moving everything back into the bathroom/organizing it. And because I have been a little stressed out as well, I spent time organizing everything from my office to the kitchen cupboards. ‘P’ was definitely a little upset that he can’t find a lot of things now, but he’s getting used to it.
I did also do a ‘spring clean’ of my closet, which felt nice. I have been getting rid of a whole lot of clothes, shoes & accessories that I haven’t worn in a while & won’t be wearing after pregnancy still- I have been listing items on Poshmark & brought bags of clothes as well to the local consignment shops. I did also make a US Poshmark account to see if I could make use of all avenues but that hasn’t paid off yet & I have little faith in it. But it’s been nice putting a little cash in my pocket for myself to have a little spending money for some ‘post pregnancy clothes’.

Fitness:

Since i’m a whole lot closer to having Little Miss, I have been taking it day by day really. I’ve been stretching a lot & attempting to work on pelvic floor exercises. But mainly I am doing a whole lot of walking as well these days, the odd weights just to keep moving.

Pregnancy & Baby:

We are officially in week 37, I have really only a few weeks left of my pregnancy, obviously once you hit this point anything can happen, so Baby Girl is just around the corner.

I had my baby shower at the beginning of the month, it was really awesome to get the people I love together to celebrate Little Miss. She is going to have the best support system, to learn from & grow up with, it really does excite me.

Other than that, this past month was really a ‘GET EVERYTHING READY’ kinda month. Obviously, I went through all the gifts she got, & then from there we went out & bought the extra’s that we didn’t receive but know we’ll need. Lots of Amazon purchases have been made. Lots of putting things together, washing items & organizing them. You name it. But everything big is done which is an amazing feeling, obviously it’s now just the little things here & there while we wait.
