April 2022 Reading Recap

This month was another busy one, but I really tried to get some serious reading in. I had set myself a goal to finish 4 books this month, I got close & only finished 3, I am halfway through my next one now. I did end up doing a trip to the library, but instead of just picking up books at the window, I actually did a walk through, it felt so nice except that I left with a huge stack of books.

So with April coming to an end, here is my Reading Recap:

2022 Reading Challenge
12/55

Currently Reading:
After I do by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Completed in April:

  • Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid
  • The Lying Club by Annie Ward
  • Where The Grass Is Green & The Girls Are Pretty by Lauren Weisberger

My Thoughts:

  • Malibu Rising: I legit found this book to be addicting. I was literally hooked from page 1 & am so sad at how fast I read through it. Patiently waiting for a sequel book, that is all.
  • The Lying Club: This was another one of those thriller books that i’ve been loving & I can’t lie it was actually pretty good, was I in complete disbelief with a few things, 100000%. But to be honest I would probably do the same thing as those mothers. I’m just waiting for someone to read this, so I can talk about it with someone.
  • Where The Grass Is Green & The Girls Are Pretty: Another day, another Lauren Weisberger book. I like Lauren’s books a Lot & the aesthetic of the book was just really pretty. I enjoyed reading it & totally flew through this one as well.

Have you read anything worth recommending?
Let me know in the comments, I’m seriously looking for new books!

Also do you have Goodreads? Let’s be friends, I love seeing how everyone is doing on their challenges & what your reading!

  1. I feel like I’m the only one who didn’t like Malibu Rising. I’ve liked her other books and expected the same from Malibu Rising but I found it to be a bit boring and the writing itself was kind of bad. I only finished it to see if it got better toward the end but I ended up a bit disappointed.

    • Not liking it is totally okay. I happened to literally get hooked & read it in 2 days. But honestly it happens, & too it could have just been a little too hyped up to enjoy!
