Another busy month, has come & gone …
I feel like this is about to become a theme for 2022 …
We started the month off on a sad note, my grandpa passed away just over one month out from his 96th birthday. He’s been struggling a bit with dementia & things got very hard & tough for him. We miss him dearly but he is definitely in a way better place. He’s now our little angel watching over us.
I tried my hardest to save this past month, but I had a few things that needed to not only get done but also we had a few small house things come in. BUT I’ve been keeping track in my trusty spreadsheet & even put aside some money into my new savings account, which felt amazing!
House: Well we had yet another majour leak in the basement, so that was fun to deal with. It’ll be expensive to fix & it will now be a while before we can use that half of the basement again….
However, we did finally get our dining table & hutch, which was definitely a highlight of the month.
Reading: Alrighty, well I tried my best to read. I finished 2 books this past month that were on my ‘to read list’, so it felt good to remove them. My goal for this month is to finish 4, so cross your fingers for me.
Fitness wise: I have continued to do both Melissa Wood Health workouts & Peloton bike rides pretty well daily this month. Since our basement is out of commission, I can’t do weights so I’m supplementing with pilates. ‘P’ has gotten back into fitness as well & he actually moved the bike to our living room to keep his bike streak going.
I also have been going for walks, once it warms up they’ll definitely be daily but a few a week is working well right now.
I am currently debating getting a gym membership just to get me out of the house & give me access to both weights & treadmills. So i’m keeping my fingers crossed it’s in the budget cards for me. I definitely miss the social interaction of being in a gym.
Nothing new here. We ordered our wedding invites, so those should be ready soon. I did start scoping out bridesmaid dresses, so those will be picked out this month. Things are moving forward!
Work has been busy, work has been meh, work has been very mentally & emotionality draining. That is all.

CD, My condolences about your grandfather. I’m so sorry about that. Dementia is a rotten disease. Like I told your mom on one of her posts, my prayers are with you.
Hang in there,

Thank you Reid! We appreciate the prayers, and I can’t agree more, it is a rotten disease.
