I don’t even know where to start right now, July was not only a blur but one hell of a busy month (this post probably won’t give that impression, oops)
Life:
We started the month with a trip to British Columbia, I am slowly (very slowly) getting that blog done! I’m going to keep this short & sweet but it went from a trip out of province to a literal party since we got engaged (you can read that one here).
So yes, for the millionth time, we got engaged at the beginning of the month, which was a whirlwind in itself & I will apologize only this one time in advance, but I apologize for the wedding planning/wedding content in advance. There is my one apology so now you have time to get used to it & just accept it.
We also moved out of the condo this past month, & once we got back from BC I just got started on packing & purging. We moved out of the condo on the 15th & got the keys to the house on 19th, so we had a slight buffer. The house is supposed to be painted, but our guy pushed it back a few weeks, so instead of taking our time moving in, we unpacked & started living here last week. It has been a weird adjustment from condo living, that is for sure. The house is also over 100 years old & we’ve found a few little things that we needed to get changed, so we have been trying to get to those things right away. We are still missing some furniture; our non-condo sized dining room set, my office furniture, and a few hutches, but it’s coming together really nicely already despite!
Reading: With the move & the engagement I really did not get much reading done, but I am still slightly ahead of schedule & that’s all that matters! However I did spend the whole almost 5 hr plane ride reading, which shocked ‘P’ & the other couple we were with, & yes my eyes hurt after, but I loved every second of it.
Fitness wise: I will start by saying, what the heck is fitness? That was how this month went. I did try to start my days with a walk, because that was the only way I got a workout in, but like yeah it was one of those months. I slowly got back into this last week (we set up a mini home gym), so that has added a little extra motivation & i’m excited to start getting back into my groove!

Work:
Work was busy, I did have quite a few days off to deal with the move, etc. but like I constantly felt like I was catching up & all that. But things have gotten busy for us which is nice, more people are inquiring about using our services, & hopefully we can get some more clients, soon. We did start a new raise (startup life), so I did get to help a little with that, & it was definitely cool to see if from our side & be able to have a little part in it.
In probably not-shocking news, I ended up resigning from my position with my volunteer gig. With everything re-opening in Ontario, my work has been getting busier, which has made it tough to even be able to give it my full attention. Today is technically my last day, but I felt so bad leaving, but in a way not. They ended up announcing a re-structuring & my position was changing from a manager role to a non-manager role & I didn’t feel like that was okay, & thankfully work has picked up so I just used that excuse to be like ‘bye’. Hopefully I’ll find something that is better suited for me one day!
