Keeping Up With Cass – March 2021

Hello April!!

Life:

March March March, where do I begin. It’s officially been one whole year of dealing with COVID-19 & I am 10000% over it. I can honestly say we did not do much at all this past month either, which was okay.
This past month, I did spend way too much money. I’m not sure if it’s just because I was bored or what, but I realized I should probably take saving seriously for April just to offset the spending from March. I did get a few things that I have been loving, so I think i’m going to bring back the ‘5 things I have been Loving Lately‘ posts, which is exciting since I haven’t been that motivated to write the past few months.
‘P’ & I did celebrate one full year of living together this past month, it’s definitely been an adjustment but we made it.
I didn’t get as much reading done as I would have liked but I am still on track to beat my 2021 reading challenge. I have been trying to read in the evenings but some day’s I do find myself just falling asleep while we are watching tv.
We did book an out of country trip for December 2021 which was exciting, and we are just hoping that we are able to actually be able to go on it. So fingers crossed!
In other news, my trusty apple watch died just before Christmas & I was waiting until things opened up to get it looked at & hopefully fixed, turns out it would cost more to fix than to buy a new one. Thankfully I wasn’t in love with it as I used to be. I did look into getting a Garmin, but then after much deliberation & research, I decided to get a Whoop band. I’ll have more on this soon, I just wanted to wear it for at least a month before I wrote anything about it, so stay tuned. But in the meantime if anyone is interested in getting one, I can send a free month (my brother did this with me & it was a game changer in my decision, who doesn’t love not paying for something for a month, lol), so just let me know!
Fitness Wise: I finished an 8 week at-home workout plan which was a great feeling, since I actually stuck to the workouts. More to come on that. I have also been trying to ride the Peloton in the mornings, just getting on the bike for 20 – 30 minutes daily has done wonders for me. I do sit in front of my laptop for most of the day so just moving in the morning has really just helped keep me sane. Thankfully it is getting nicer out, so I have been trying to get outside in the afternoons for a quick walk which has been weather dependant but it’s been a great addition to break up my days, & I can’t wait for the official spring weather. If I don’t get outside, I am trying to even just step away for 10 – 15 minutes & either stretch or do some yoga. I have yet to get back to running, but I am planning on mixing up my mornings with either a run or a spin class, but I haven’t worked up the courage yet.

Work:

3 months of working from home has passed. I can definitely say I am over it & would love to spend a day or two at the office, I am crossing my fingers it’ll happen soon, but who knows with all this COVID craziness!
Otherwise work has been amazing. I have mainly been working on social media posts, getting the founders on podcasts/interviews, and just handling the marketing. I did get to lead a whole new partnership launch which was amazing to do, and i’m so excited for it to be announced (& just so nervous at the same time). My work laptop is finally supposed to be coming in this weekend, so hopefully by next week I should be working on that. Other than that, It’s been a whirlwind 3 months, time has flown by so quickly & I’m just proud of what I have been able to accomplish personally & for the company so far!
