Another month bites the dust ..
Life:
Well I realized I forgot to mention some stuff that happened last month in my January recap which is pretty awkward, oops.
Last month, my brother got a border collie puppy named Maverick, & he is literally everyone’s little bundle of joy. He is currently in puppy kindergarten which I have been doing weekly with him & my goodness it is adorable. Once everything opens back up he’ll go to day care once a week to socialize & make friends, & take a manners class which again, so adorable if you ask me.
This past month was okay. We were still in lockdown up here for most of the month & there honestly wasn’t much to do. I have been staying up at the cottage still, heading back to the condo here & there, but I honestly work better up here compared to at home, which is so weird if you ask me. I did have a few appointments, visited to my grandparents & then obviously dinner with the in-laws that I went back to reality for. I am proud of myself though, I did get some blog posts written & out there, which felt so darn nice, thank goodness for WordPress & being able to schedule the posts ahead of time. Two weekends ago, we went on a snowmobile day trip which was awesome. We drove 1.5 hours to one of the towns with the hopes of getting some lunch, obviously that was everyone else’s plan to. So we ended up just turning around & spent most of the day on the sleds, which I absolutely love.
This past weekend we did go to Blue Mountain, which was a nice change up scenery wise.
I did get some reading done which was nice, I’m just trying to wind down the old fashion way after being in front of my computer & laptop all day, everyday. I didn’t get as much done as last month, but I am ahead of schedule on my reading challenge which is a nice feeling.
Since I’ve been up north & don’t have my workout bike, I have been attempting to mix it up fitness wise, I’ve been cross country skiing a few times, I usually make it about a 5 – 6 km adventure, and obviously trying to get outside for some walks, I do ride the bike when I am at the condo just to get that intense cardio in. I did however download a new fitness app, Athli, which I was so excited for. The trainer that I used religiously back when I went to the gym released her own app & new programs so of course I got it, i’ve been doing her home plan for a month now and my butt has literally been kicked by these workouts. A few more weeks & i’ll be done this program, so more to come!

I’ve been working from home for almost 2 months now, some days are great & others are just hard. But I think i’ve been adjusting well & my work social media posts have been doing pretty darn great engagement wise so that’s been both such a great feeling & just motivating as anything. I have bene finding it hard to be creative while working from home (lack of team content, etc), so on that note, I just can’t wait to be able to get into the office & really be able get into everything more hands on.
