Keeping Up With Cass – July 2020

See you later July!

Life:

So another month has come & gone, I feel like the days are just flying by thanks to the warmer weather!
This month, we basically went to the cottage almost every weekend. The one weekend we didn’t we had a pool party for ‘P’s dads birthday & then literally just chilled on the Sunday. But other than that we really honestly took it easy on the weekends & just tried to get outside & be outside all the time!
We ‘P’ did a thing & dowloaded the Hayu app, so we’ve been watching Below Deck re-runs every night from like 7:30 until we fall asleep. Who would have though old Captain Lee seasons could be so addicting!
Reading: I had another month of pretty good reading! I got through a few books again but honestly just still checking books off my TBR & e-library hold list! I did finally buy my first few books on my Kobo & I am surprised by how cheap some are! I did also, officially hit 47/50 books so I’m super excited that I’ve been able to do so well on my challenge this year!Β
Fitness wise: we did a thing a few months ago & our Peloton bike finally came in this past month. So basically I’ve just stopped walking & all the stuff I was doing before & just rode the bike everyday we were home. I usually go for a 30 – 45 minute ride, depending on how I am feeling, I have also been trying the other workouts on the peloton app, so if were up north I’m just doing yoga or stretching because I might as well! I’m just trying to get the most out of the app! I do have a discount code you can use for accessories if you plan on buying anything, let me know & I will share, it saves you up to $150 off!
I did get close to finishing Linn Lowes ‘At Home’ program, so I’m just scrambling to try to get through that before my subscription ends. Unfortunately as much as I love her programs, I decided to not renew my subscription since I won’t be going to a public gym for a while (they just opened & I do not feel comfortable going, hense the bike purchase) & also with the bike, we pay for a subscription for that! Maybe one day when I finally feel comfortable going to a gym again me & Linn’s programs will reunite because I love her programs!
Condo: honestly nothing new on the condo front. Other than the workout bike we now have in the den. Talk about not having much space in there anymore! But yeah, were just trying to save all the money we can for when we redo the bathroom!
Relationship: ‘P’ & I celebrated our ‘official’ one year together at the beginning of the month. It took us a while to get to this point but honestly the 3 years of fighting him off, was perfect because I don’t think we could have lasted if we dated back then. I needed to figure out what I needed & how to be on my own before I became serious with someone. The past year has been tough, there have been a lot of firsts, we have learned a whole lot about each other, we have each grown, & we have had our fights, but we have each others backs & at the end of the day, we love each other & I am happy to be navigating life with him by my side. (my ‘p’ appreciation that he won’t see, lol).

TV:

  • Below Deck Mediterranean – S5

Work:

I’ve had a few interviews last month which was amazing & it felt so positive but unfortunately none of those worked out! I am lucky enough to head into work to help my dad out once a week now so that’s been awesome to get a change of scenery & have that feeling of purpose back! But other than that, still looking & applying & praying!
