Keeping Up With Cass – April 2020

GoodBye April!

It’s official the warmer weather is slowly getting here & I am all for it!

Life:

So I don’t know about you but this month was one heck of a ride (kidding). So life was pretty darn boring, I don’t expect this to be that long of a recap. So our trip to the Bahamas at the beginning of the month was cancelled, which made this month start off even more sucky then it already was.
I did way better then I could have ever guessed with my reading this month, like I think I hit a monthly record on how many books I got through which was pretty darn exciting! I got to cross a few of the books I’ve been eying for a while off my list too which made it even better!
Like last month, I basically mixed my workouts up. I made sure to walk at least 5km per day, now that it’s getting warmer I’m up to about 6kms (totally dependant on the weather) but yes if the weather sucked I still tried to get out. I did get my first two runs in at least a year in, it was tough & I walked but I can’t be too hard on myself, I’m definitely not in the same shape running wise I was back then, I have however set a little goal for myself to run at least once a week now, so we’ll see how long that lasts considering I made it two weeks in a row so far. I have been still doing the workouts from Linn Lowes ‘At Home’ program, and yes the odd instagram live workout, but honestly just getting moving everyday has been a big thing for me & my sanity! I’m not being tough on myself, I’m just trying to listen to my body & what it needs, most days thats literally only a walk, which I’m just happy I have been consistent with getting myself moving daily.
Uhm, other than that, not much has been happening. I have been trying new recipes & baking a bit more too. But yeah, just trying to keep this place clean & organized & keep my sanity at bay really. Oh & we finally got a bunch of condo stuff done & checked off our list. We got patio furniture, touched up some walls with paint, hung stuff on the walls, just a few little things that have been on my list to get done for a while now.

But otherwise, nothing yet!

  1. Let’s talk movies Cass. Oddly enough, I too watched “Escape from Alcatraz” for the first time. It was so interesting right! I was actually so tense toward the end when they were escaping. The suspense was intense. I also love Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”. I’m a huge Dicaprio and Pitt fan and really enjoyed it. Just bought it too so that I can memorize it. Haha. We just watched the entire Hunger Games series. That was really good too.

    • I’m glad you liked it, honestly I really didn’t enjoy ‘Escape From Alcatraz’ at all, I’m not sure what it was bit it wasn’t for me.
I didn’t mind ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ I really wanted to watch it cause of all the award season buzz, but I do think it’s my favourite Tarantino Movie, but I find his movies just really weird so.
