I Just Watched: ‘Dead To Me’

Happy Saturday Everyone!

So ‘Dead To Me’ has literally been sitting in ‘My List’ on Netflix for quite some time now. I finally decided to give it a go & watch it, take one more show of my ‘to watch list’ since it’s getting pretty long these days!

Here’s the quick little summary:

Jen’s husband recently died in a hit-and-run, and the sardonic widow is determined to solve the crime. Optimistic free spirit Judy has recently suffered a tragic loss of her own. The ladies meet at a support group and, despite their polar-opposite personalities, become unlikely friends. As the women bond over bottles of wine and a shared affinity for “The Facts of Life,” Judy tries to shield Jen from a shocking secret that could destroy her life as she knows it.
– Again thanks IMDB for the summary.

So I ended up watching the one season in literally two sittings, the episodes aren’t long. Overall, I found it a little twisted and has some dark humour I guess. I didn’t really find it funny or anything but the whole back story kept me into it and the fact that there are so many secrets. I guess I could compare it to the latest season of Big Little Lies, I don’t know how else to describe it. But on the bright side, now I’m sitting here anxiously waiting for Season 2 because I just have so many questions about so many things, but that also shows I clearly liked the show!

If you’ve watched ‘Dead To Me’ I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. I’m curious to hear your thoughts! Also, I’m always taking Netflix recommendations, feel free to share them!

  1. I think I might have started it? Or just watched the trailer? Might have to give it a go because I just finished once upon a time and now I need something else to watch lol

Speaking of which – have you seen once upon a time? If not I liked it!! I tried it a few years ago but stopped after season 4 for some reason. If you do watch it DO NOT watch season 7. Just stop after 6 and be thankful you didn’t go any further. It should have stopped after 6. Lol
