Another month has come and gone. Honestly, where is 2019 going!
So I guess with that, it’s time to dive into my monthly recap…
Life:
It was a month, what can I say & where do I start….
As you probably noticed, I didn’t do much writing this month. I was a little pre-occupied with getting my life together…
This month started on a not so great foot, my grandfather passed away after being sick for a while now. So that took a lot of energy & stuff out of me. There really isn’t much more to it, other than it was tough. He was my first grandparent to go, i’ve been spoiled having both sets of grandparents for almost 25 years so it was tough. We were sad & broken, but we all knew he was in a way better place now, he had been in & out of the hospital and rehab facilities for months, he isn’t suffering anymore. It wasn’t goodbye but we have an angel always looking over us now.
On a brighter note, since this has taken a sad turn… I have now officially been living on my own for over a month now! It’s taken some time to adjust to living on my own again but it’s nice to have my own space. I finally got my place fully painted (thank you ‘P’ for putting up with me & helping me). I’ve also officially got all my main furniture & my TV is finally all set up!
I did try my best to read, but yet again I didn’t read as much as I hoped. Oh and I’m still behind on my reading challenge, so we’ll see what happens here.
‘P’ & I took our first official couples trip to Cleveland, we surprisingly had a great time. We also finally booked our flights to & from San Francisco & Palm Springs in February so that was exciting & we’re really looking forward to it. It’s also just been comforting having him in my corner constantly.
So my stomach issues returned & after a bunch of tests, I have finally started my protocol for repairing my ‘gut’ as they say these days. It’s been a very tough two weeks with the changes I’ve had to make to my diet, & lifestyle, but in the end I know it’ll be worth it when I’m feeling not just better but like 100%.
Also, back at the end of June, I decided to stop taking my hormonal birth control, it’s been a wacky two months, but lone behold my migraines & even headaches have disappeared. I honestly can’t believe what a huge the difference going off the pill would have on me!
What I’ve Been Watching:
TV:
- Pearson
Netflix:
- Jane The Virgin: Newest Obsession
Work:
I GOT A NEW JOB! I GOT A NEW JOB!
After months & months & months of searching, I got offered a position with a different Investing Group. I am super exciting to be making the switch over next week & can’t wait to get started on this new journey!
I am also still doing my side work, it’s been great being able to get some extra work done & make some extra money ya know!
I am looking into volunteering positions, so maybe i’ll have another thing on my plate soon too!
In Case You Missed This Months Blog Posts
Here is a quick recap in case you missed any posts from September:
‘Q & Cass’:
It has been so awesome, sitting down & answering all your questions! I started this series to give you all a chance to get to know me & ask questions, make it feel like we are catching up over coffee (or in my case, having a tea date). Comment your questions here, or even contact me with your questions. I appreciate all the question’s I’ve already received, & had a great time answering! I had a great time answering your questions this month & can’t wait to answer the next bunch in October!
How was your September? Did anything exciting happen?
Any big plans for October?
Thanks for reading!
