Keeping Up With Cass

I’m trying something different this month! I decided to change up my monthly recaps! Instead of posting them the first few days of the next month, I will be moving the recap to the last day or so of the month. Since I’m writing them that way, it almost seemed odd to me that the recaps were the next month. As for the name change, I decided to rename my Monthly Recaps to ‘Keeping Up With Cass’ because technically I’m filling you in on what happened in the last month of my life & well, I can barely keep up with myself some days! It seemed fitting..

Oh April, I know I say this every month but last month flew on by! There was so much going on that it feels like a blur!

Life:
This month was pretty cool. Not only did I have a 4-day weekend for Easter which was relaxing & totally needed but I also had the house to myself for a little over 2 weeks. It was so nice to have some space & be on my own before my brothers moved back home for the summer. & with both my brothers home, we have a full house again & I am slowly adjusting to having everyone home again. It’s so weird going from being an only child to having to share again.
I started trying to get consistent with running again, I’m trying to run at least twice a week right now, but with the way the weather has been it’s been tough to stay motivated! I honestly can not wait till the weather starts to warm up & be consistent so I can keep running my trail outside! I’m also super nervous because I have less than 2 months until the Lululemon 10k, I’m already excited to run it but boy oh boy do I need to start taking my training seriously.
I deleted Bumble, I decided it was best. I am not ready for anything with anyone. I did however finally get the closure I needed from ex-dude (only took 2 bottles of wine & encouragement from my girls, but I needed it). Basically I have come to the realization that right now, the last thing I want is a relationship & I would rather not worry/force anything. I mean time will tell & who knows when you could meet someone.
I did end up doing a shopping ban in April, it went alright, stay tuned for the update!
TV wise: I am still watching The Good Wife, I honestly started this thinking I would be able to have this on in the background while I read or write, boy was I wrong. I am finally almost done the 6th season & thankfully Netflix has uploaded the 7th to keep me occupied! I have also been keeping up with: Dynasty & Riverdale. It sucks that Netflix uploads them weekly but that’s life! I also record Very Cavallari weekly, I really don’t like reality TV, I mean there are so many better things I can do with that 45 minutes of TV time, but Jay Cutler is honestly hilarious.

Work:
Work has been meh. It’s been going well but i’ve just had some weird feelings that things might be changing around there soon & I don’t know what but who knows right!
I haven’t been going to many work events, not only has not much been happening but none that really have been of interest, so i’ve been in the clear!
I have been applying to some jobs, I haven’t heard anything yet but who knows right, might just be a busy time with the end of everyones fiscal years.

Here is a quick recap in case you missed any posts from April:

‘Q & Cass’:
I started the ‘Q & Cass Series’. I am answering 5 questions from my followers/readers every other month! I want to give you all a chance to get to know me & ask questions, make it feel like we are catching up over coffee (or in my case, having a tea date).
Comment your questions here, or even contact me with your questions.
I appreciate all the question’s I’ve already received, & had a great time answering! I can’t wait to answer all the questions you all have for me in June!

How was your April? Did anything exciting happen? Any big plans for next month?

Thanks for reading!

  1. I like the name change! Two things: 1) my sister has been trying to get me to watch Dynasty for two months but I’ve been stubborn about it, is it really good? 2) she also has me record Very Cavallari for her every week I make the same dumb joke each time that a reality show about me would be called Somewhat Paul. That is all. Oh and good luck with your 10k training!

  2. You’re cute Cass. Love the recap. I’m a big fan of the Cavallari’s too. As you know I’m a huge Bears fan and Jay Cutler was always one of my favorites. Most Bears fans seem to hate him but I always thought he got screwed over by his coaches and teammates and just bad luck. He was very good and professional. I’ve seen that TV show a time or two and he is very laid back and funny.

I too need to get running but first we need some better weather. This constant rain and snow is depressing. Can’t wait for summer. Good luck with your running!

PS I need to think of more questions for you. Hmmm, how about these: What are your career goals? What did you major in? What do you see being a confortable job for yourself? What gets you pumped up to get out of bed in the morning? What keeps you awake at night?

    Thanks! Later,
    Reid
