Happy Saturday & happy first ‘Q & Cass’!
If you follow me on Twitter you’ve already heard this, but, essentially I wanted to start a monthly q&a series where you guys can ask me ANYTHING you want. I want this to feel like we’re just catching up & chatting over coffee/tea/hot chocolate!
Going forward, I’d love for y’all to leave a comment on the ‘Q & Cass’ blog post (so, this post) with the questions you’d like for me to answer next week! Since this is my first one though, I had you guys leave questions via commenting on this Twitter post. Out of all the questions I got, this time I picked 5 questions to answer, so if you don’t see yours this months, stay tuned I promise you’ll see it soon!
- What do you listen to in the car?
I always listen to music, the odd time i’ll listen to the 24 hour news channel. I can be found usually listening to country music, I do listen to 90s/00s hip hop & rap when I need to mix it up. But other than that, the backstreet boys, Britney Spears & all that good stuff can be found in my music mix too! - What is your favourite Super Bowl food/snack?
Now this is a tough one, we don’t make a big deal out of Super Bowls. We do always have wings on Super Bowl Sunday, which is pretty darn awesome! - When are we gonna go drinking?
Hmm, we’ll have to figure that out, maybe if were in the same city! - Do you play any instruments?
Unfortunately not, I was never musically gifted. Growing up I could play the recorder, but you’d have to be tone deff to think I sounded good… I do want to learn to play the guitar but I’m worried I won’t be able to play! - What book series was your favourite growing up?
The old Nancy Drew books, or the Princess Diaries series. Hands down, either one of those! In my late teens, I totally fell in love with Nicholas Sparks books!

Haha! I love this post. I want to dive further into your music. I knew you liked country and Spears, but how about Guns N’ Roses? You didn’t mention GNR even though I know you read Slash’s book. Plus, you didn’t mention any other hard rock/classic rock or alternative rock music. Do you like Smashing Pumpkins? Silversun Pickups? Snow Patrol? Where do you stand on those? Finally, I love that you answered my drinking question. Maybe next summer we can hook up for some pops. Let me know if you make any trips to Chicago or Milwaukee. Do you travel to the U.S. often? I do like classic rock, we listen to a lot of it. Country is totally my #1 besides BSB & Brit.
We can try! We don’t want to travel to the states these days (won’t go into politics) but one day.

Classic rock is the best. I’m getting into country more lately. I even wore my boots today.

Omg! The other day, I was driving with my youngest kidlet and we had to wait for the windows to unfog so we were just listening to the radio and “I want it that way” came on (LOVE BSB) and of course I belted it and the kidlet who has no taste in music at all unbuckles, climbs up to the front, spins the dial, looks at me and just said “no!” And sat back down leaving us listening to static. Ppffffttttt

I love this. Can I basically steal it and do it on my blog? Obviously, I won’t call it Q & Cass. I think I’d call it Q & A-A-Ron… But only with permission 🙂

If you ever want to start a band called Hit Record (or something equally lame) where we just play Hot Cross Buns on the recorder over and over again, let me know!
