Destination Relaxation

Blue Mountain Girls Weekend

As many Toronto & GTA Folks know, Blue Mountain is the go-to recreation destination. It is a year-round mountain resort, it is a great place for a getaway & has something for everyone to enjoy! The adorable Blue Mountain Village has amazing restaurants, bars, and boutique shopping, along with amazing skiing, golf, hiking & more.

My family usually visits Blue Mountain in the winter, so for me, this quick little November getaway was truly unusual. We are big fans of skiing & snowboarding, relaxing & indulging in this cute village. We always (& this time was no different) stay at the Westin Trillium House. We stay in a gorgeous one bedroom suite, looking out across the little lake towards the village. We feel completely at home here.

This time around, one of the girls & I decided to have a very last minute ‘Girls Weekend’ away from the city, a weekend where we can unplug but still have fun! While at Blue Mountain; we relaxed, explored the village, indulged at the restaurants & escaped the hustle and bustle.
On the Saturday night (our first night), we ventured over to Rusty’s Bar, a local bar that turned into a night club, it was an experience for us bar-loving gals.
On the Sunday, we decided to take a trip to the Scandinave Spa. Here we spent the day relaxing in the Scandinave baths, the Finnish & Infrared Sauna, a Eucalyptus Steam Room & the Relaxation Rooms. We were beyond the point of relaxation at this beautiful spa.

On Monday, we decided to take one last walk around the village & checking out the shops before indulging in a pizza lunch from The Old Firehall. It definately hit the spot before our drive home!
Overall, we spent a great 48 hours relaxing & enjoying the Blue Mountain Village. We had a few drinks, sang a few songs, indulged in some amazing food, & ultimately relaxed for the first time in a while.

Here’s to girl’s weekends, & starting a new traditions!
